Forgiveness

Sometimes when problems arise, hatred blind folded our hearts and we said in our hearts that “I will never forgive you for what you have done”. However, if you are reading this blog and you know that you are in this situation, then this is a word for you. The bible tells us in Luke chapter 17 verse 3: - to forgive. This is the actual passage from the King James Version: -

Take heed to yourselves: If thy brother trespass against thee, rebuke him; and if he repent, forgive him.

The Lord Jesus Christ clearly thought us that if our brothers or otherwise sisters sinned against us, we have to talk to them and tell them straight forward the offence they have done against us. Otherwise, we are going nowhere but allowing more problems to add up against ourselves.

That is why the scripture said in Proverbs chapter 27 verse 5: -

“Open rebuke is better than secret love.

However, it is your choice. But don’t wait till one passed away since you’ll regret. Those you have around you as family are there because they loved you dearly. But don’t let one wrong to ruin you and drive that love away from you since everyday is always a new day. Days are created by God so that we always have hope.

So let us use the opportunity wisely and not let the dark shadows of the past to blind us. One day we will never know, but death will be coming to visit us uninvited and then, only memories will remain and we’ll be gone forever.
